Unfinished Savinelli Before and After

I purchased an unfinished Savinelli Bulldog about 1 or 2 years ago.  Even posted a few pics of it at the time.  Well, just yesterday an unfinished 320 came in the mail and I was able to see how regular use has nicely colored the outside my old one.  Would not have noticed how dramatic it has become with out the new one to compare it too.

Ya, colored pretty nicely didn't it. Sort of a honey shade now.

Never had an unfinished pipe, but my ever trusty Wiley Rhody/Dub had a very light finish when I got it back around '01. It's very much in the same sort of color now, perhaps a shade darker.

Nice pipes. I would like to find one with a lucite stem, but haven't seen one in a couple of years.
