I bought this Vauen as an estate, the mouthpiece wasn't so oxidized as in the below photo but you can get an idea how it was:

After some sandpaper work and Oil to create a simple contrast plus a mouthpiece change now looks much better, don't you agree?

So very much improved Sid. Especially like the contrast of the new strummel stain and the choice of material for the stem. Love that stem material.

Even though I appreciate the sculptural lines of Peterson's p-lip bits, I can't smoke 'em. The redirected smoke wants to burn a hole in the roof of my mouth. So your change is good from the get go in that regard. And yes, I like the warm brown and gold tones of your rebirthed beauty over the black and oxidized original. Who wouldn't. Yes indeed, very nice job there.
