Right now I am reading "Forgotten Soldier" by Guy Sajer. Next up is Stalingrad by Antony Beevor. Then I have a few Kindle books on the Tour de France and Giro Di Italia.

"The Pioneers" by David McCullough.
A study of the settlement of the western expansion into the Ohio area in the 1780's.
A place I know little about.
Big fan of his writing. His work is always well researched.
His book, "The Greater Journey: Americans in Paris" on the emergence of great American artists in France and "Mornings on Horseback" about Teddy Roosevelt are just wonderful.

“The Assassins of Thasalon - Penric & Desdemona” by Lois McMaster Bujold.

One of the most prolific and beloved writers in SciFi & Fantasy, another installment in the human/demon relationship and continuing adventures of a magician and his resident demon. Any new publication by Bujold is instantly pounced upon be her legion of hungry fans.

Time to shake things up with a new author. Or "authors" in this case. Pretty good!
