Yo Jim,

Kindly send me your address so I can move in next door....you need some help smoking all those pipes.  Hell, you have so many great ones, that I wouldn't know where to begin.  Fantastic collection...awe inspiring, in fact.
Thanks for the great pictures!
Love pipe porn!

Psst! Hey Jim, :suspect:  Don't you think you might have too many pipes in your fabulous collection? I just happen to know of an old geezer (no not you Walt so go and lay down somewhere and quit drooling all over everything) who would be more than happy to help you decrease the enormous size of your collection. :)

Gee, I haven't even posted them all!!! :D  Seriously, there are a bunch of guys with bigger collections and more high grades than I have, but I feel very fortunate to have the ones I do. It may be a while, but I'll post the Savinellis, Ascortis, and Karl Eriks when I can. Probably won't bother with some of the cheaper pipes, but I have a few of them, too.

What I like they are a smoker's pipes. That have a patina that collector pipes cannot duplicate. They are the honest broker between him and his tobacco.

Three Rinaldos, top to bottom: 2001 Rinaldo Lithos YY8 Titania Silver Line egg. 2001 Rinaldo Lithos YY bulldog. The Rinaldo Acorn I posted earlier.

That's an amazing collection Jim. I especially like this 2001 Rinaldo Lithos YY Bulldog.
Also checked out the Rekamepip Rock Cob's & for that price it's gotta go on the want list. Only problem with the want list is it always seems to exceeds the pipe fund jar.

Thank you for the compliments. I love that bulldog, too. It's perfectly balanced and smokes great.

Not to sound like a shill, but I do recommend getting one of John's Rekamepip pipes not just because of how they smoke, but before they get more popular and the price goes up. Like a meer, they give you the true taste of the tobacco you are smoking. John's a humble man and doesn't really do this for the money, but you never know what can happen in our hobby. P&C sells his pipes, and he has an Etsy store, too, but I don't know the URL.

Btw I like corncobs, too, and own eight of them. One I bought in Jan. of 1979, and it's still working great for me.

This may seem like bragging (I hope not), but I so seldom have the time to smoke this pipe that I felt the need to celebrate the fact that I am doing it now: Tilbury in a 2002 smooth full bend Two dot Dorelio Rovera Ardor Venere Extra Giant Fantasy flat front sitter.

My first reaction was  -- until I saw the quarter for scale!

Holy Moley, that's a big arse pipe!

:affraid:

This is a lousy photo, but it's one of my favorite pipes. Been with me through hell and back many times: A 1979 Dr. Grabow smooth straight pot. Bought it on a snowy night in January of 1979 when I needed a smoke.

Beautiful pipes, Jim. I especially love your straight grains.
I am not worthy!

did I miss it but wheres the first one you bought in 1974 that started it all when you were underage....

I haven't posted that one. I haven't posted my Karl Eriks or Savinellis either. Or the unsmoked ones. Or my corncobs.

I laughed out loud when I saw the title of this thread. Well played, Mr. Mejoshee. That's an outstanding collection, Mr. Inks. Keep 'em coming!
On a side note: for those who haven't had the pleasure, "Iron Tongue Jim" is a great guy to trade tobaccos with.

"Iron Tongue Jim"!  :lol!:

Thank you for the kind words. You're great to trade with, too.
