Good morning everyone, starting the week with a bowl of Haunted Bookshop in a Peterson Aran 22.

Close to finishing this bowl of C&D Fireside Fable (Winter Reserve 2024) in a pre-1920s medium bend brown unbranded meerschaum Rhodesian with a tapered Redmanol stem. Not a hard blend to review.

@JimInks, where are you posting reviews these days?

I recently bought this big, beautiful straight grain Bulldog estate pipe made in England that was in perfect condition, and I’ve been playing with layering different tobaccos, 1/3, 1/3, 1/3. ( I LIKE big BOWLS and I cannot lie. You other brothers can’t deny….)

I’m loving the SPC Hogshead Bourbon Barrel Aged. I put that in the center and have played with others on the top and bottom thirds. Fun how the bowls evolve. Some work better than others; much adventure to this learning curve to go. Recommendations?

Good evening my fellow friends. another late day to the table today, my apologies. It's been a busy day for myself and Mrs Z, but I won't bore you with the details. Suffice to say, we are now back home, and I'm about to fill my Grandfather's Edwardian Gourd Calabash with a Stering silver top and mount, with some glorious Hobbit Weed for a much needed long and soothing smoke. I hope everybody had a great weekend and today is just an extension of it.

Damn that looks nice

Passing the first third of this bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Fed all the ferals except for the absent Abner the Eager.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and have passed the quarter mark of this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Papua New Guinea, neat, is my drink. Getting ready to clean a few pipes. Watching the original Night Court series.

Scanning the pipe rack this morning I decided only a cob will do. The Bent Gent accompanied me to the porch where PA awaited us. Tree leaves are in absolute free fall, with a wind gusting to 36 mph it’s a blizzard of leaves. Wife is due tomorrow. After her meeting some appointments we’ll be ready to go on our Kansas adventure. I hope it stays warm enough to eck out some enjoyment.
