Scotch Flake in a Castleford sandblasted bent bulldog.

Pulled a jar of two year old Newminster #403 Superior Rounds from the cellar today. Got a deal on another one pound bag of this blend recently, so thought it was time to see how this one is aging after two years.

The #403, once given a chance to age 2-3 years, is a really good smoke -- IMO,better than the Peter Stokkebye Luxury Bulls Eye Flake (which is also nice, but also needs a few years in the cellar) ... I think it's the Dark Fired Kentucky in the center of the Newminster's coin (the PS LBF uses cavendish) that makes the difference.

Good stuff and a great value for the $$.

Troost Aromatic Cavendish in a no-name billiard.

...early AM...MacBaren Matured Virginia...then, Ogden's Walnut Flake...now, HH Old Dark Fired Flake in a Ben Wade blast apple...

...up next...Sutliff 1849...
