Check out Contagion too, Rande, starring Matt Damon.  I watched it a few weeks ago and although it was made approx 10 years ago, it was like watching a docudrama about Covid 19.
I certainly will mate. Seems to me I've heard about that one before.

Full disclosure....

I was prepared to not like this based on the chances I took on a few other recent movies which I only knew the titles of and not the plots. While those proved unrewarding, gotta say that this grabbed me from the start and never let go.

Oooo. Yuk. Had enough disease stuff.

Maybe some old Dr Kildare flicks. With Lew Ayres & Lionel Barrymore!

Or go Samurai with a medical flick...”Redbeard” 1965. (starring Toshirô Mifune).

Or a medical flick set in ancient Egypt...”The Egyptian”. (directed by Michael Curtiz).

Dammit Jim, I’m a doctor not a movie critic!

Very sobering and poignant account which rings true in this current situation.

Thank you for the rec Stick.

First Man on Netflix.

Neil Armstrong’s story. A reminder that the space race was far from glamorous, an astronaut’s life was fraught with an ever present danger that demanded nerves of steel, a cool head and decisive action.

A bit Hollywoodized in places but forgivable. Recommended.

Time Trial on Netflix.

An insider’s view of life as a professional road cyclist, the pressures it brings, and the cheating by focusing on David Millar, a Brit pro rider.. The film gives a first person perspective of what it’s like to be in a peloton during a big race such as the tour. Interesting stuff if cycling’s your bag.

Watching real life today...The French Open.
For the most part, sans Novak Djokovic's hasty tournament, I've appreciated how tennis has handled C-19. They did some honest-to-goodness testing with those Florida tournaments on private courts in the boondocks (at least they felt like the boondocks). I think the US Open said it gave up over $80M in revenue to do it without any fans. I'm sure tennis had its faults, but at least it had a wee bit of conviction.

Zeno - I love it...in Seattle fans are sending in photos of themselves which are turned into life sized prop up seat fillers for the stands. When the cameras pan up or across the seats they show tons of fans cheering on their beloved team. What a hoot.

OK - hijack OFF
