The number of gumballs was 137.I told Dock Perry before the contest was posted.
Here are the winners based on earliest submissions;

6.Trout Bum 133

Mattia76 was not counted since he said 138 long after Doc posted that number.

I call foul. Doc Manhattan is a superhero with correspondingly super powers.

Obviously, his "see into the future" ability played a role, here. The missing-it-by-one to throw off suspicion is proof he's devious as well.

Honestly, I'd be more excited about winning an estate pipe than finding a $100 bill on the sidewalk. Getting a new pipe of any sort is always a good day.

It's a lot of fun for me as well,we had 40 entries to the contest.Now these pipes
will live again and not languish in the bottom of a musty drawer.Hope to have them
all mailed by Monday......moving is such a mess. :x

Well, well, well!!!
Just picked up the gumball contest prize box from Mr. Winslow!! WOO HOO!!!! :D
I have to take the time to personally thank Mr. Winslow for a very, very nice EGG SHAPED MEERSCHAUM PIPE (which wasn't even part of the original contest prize pool) and two bags of CAO Black Velvet & Galway Tobaccos (not to mention the gumballs from the contest glass).

This will be my first meer and I look forward to firing it up. I will post some pics later.
I have to say to everyone on this board, "WINSLOW IS DA MAN"!!!!

Winslow, Hope all went well with the move and I thank you for the wonderful gift.
