Good afternoon BoBs. Got quite a few things knocked out on the to do list. Having a mid day bowl of C&D Billy Budd in a Pete Rosslare smooth bent apple with oolong tea. Gotta go to Petco and get dog food for Augie. He has a sensitive stomach and gets special food for 4 bucks a can. Then back to the ranch to tend Cochise again. He needs meds twice a day till his hives clear up. Have a great day everyone.

A quarter of a bowl left of year 2012 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Watching the extra-hyped debut of Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes against the Cubs. I'm recording the Braves-Mets game.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am smoking 1970s Heine's Blend in a 2013 medium bend Spillproof corndog cob with a triangular briar shank and a black vulcanite saddle stem. Skenes throws too many non-competitive pitches. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Now smoking Ken Byron Ventures Jim’s Special Flake 2023 in a 1984 black rusticated full bend Peterson Mark Twain military mount egg with a silver cap and tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Pirates relief pitchers walked and hit five consecutive batters after they got two outs in the 5th, and the Cubs scored five runs to tie the game as a result before the rain came.

Also had a long busy day. Apres diner it's GH Seasonal Reserve in a Molina Roma 1/4 bent Rhodesian. My drink is leftover cabernet from dinner. Have to be in bed early. Getting up at 6 to be at the Legion by 7. Serving Eggs Benedict and champagne to all the mothers 👩 tomorrow. Will need an hour or more to prepare everything. Good evening BoBs.

Been very busy this evening. Earlier, I smoked a bowl of Wilke Wall Street in a 2013 straight black sandblasted Peterson Sherlock Holmes Series Baker Street with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite fish tail stem.

After that, I had a bowl of year 2016 Sutliff 507-C Slices in a black sandblast PSB medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY 4AB No. 228/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem.

Then, I had a bowl of year 2014 Sam Gawith Best Brown Flake in a straight smooth brown 1933-1945 Comoy’s patent Grand Slam 159 *4 apple with a tapered black vulcanite stem.

Currently, I have a third of a bowl left of year 2012 Anniversary Kake in a smooth burgundy medium bend 1979 Chippendale (Charatan second) Rhodesian 49 with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Smokes as well as a first and worth the $19.95 I paid for it all those years ago. Watching the Braves-Mets game I DVR'd. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Just finished a bowl of captain black original on my back porch, drinking some blackcurrant sun tea, sweet enough for a Texan to approve of it. I watched the very tail end of the sunset and did some shoulder stretching. Later tonight, we will be going to the top of one of the many cinder mountains in this area to catch some views of the aurora which should be visible. Here's hoping for a pretty light show!
Goodnight.

Cleaned a few pipes, and am not far from finishing this bowl of year 2013 Capstan Gold in a straight black 1932 Dunhill R double patent shell pot with a vernon tenon and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Haven't smoked this pipe lately, so I dipped into a jar for the tobacco since the pipe is dedicated to this blend.

Enjoyed a tasty red delicious apple, and have passed the first third of this bowl of Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend. I put Sam and the scampers in lock up so I could let Molly Danger and Sleepy Suzy eat without drama. Now reading baseball box scores.

Almost finished smoking Watch City Queequeg’s Moby Dick Series in a slight bend smooth brown post WWII 1940s Sasieni Ivory 101 Westminster diplomat with a black vulcanite saddle stem. There's quite a lot of comfort when I dedicate a pipe to a singular blend. The flavor I desire when I do that is most enjoyable.

The rest of the day with the ferals was rather typical except for Abner the Eager. The last two days he showed up extra sad, and holding his right front paw off the ground. I checked it out, but couldn’t see anything wrong. He is able to walk. Even though he’s not a big eater, I noticed that he’s eating a little less than usual. This reminds me of the time Tomato the Brave had a hip problem for a while. We don’t what happened to him or to Abner, but I think the poor little fella will be back to normal soon.

Sam and the scampers are in lock down so Molly and Sleepy Suzy could eat in peace. Everybody else is outside.

As if there wasn't enough drama, Sam the Scamp has been in heat for three days, and is getting louder about it. The chance of her getting out of this house are slimmer than an ant's mustache. Since she woke me up, I'm having a bowl of Watch City Mistletoe Jam (Christmas 2022) in a 1979 smooth natural signed Rossi 1886 Hungarian 124 with a dark amber colored acrylic saddle stem. You should have seen this pipe when I bought. it was a very light brown and the stem was much lighter, too. Sleepy Suzy is by my side. Molly Danger is snoozin' with m'lady.
