Finished off a tin of 10 yr old Escudo tonight, but when I dumped out the last of it half a peanut came out of the tin. Very weird. It was still good though....the tobacco, not the peanut (the peanut was a little stale). :shock: :lol:

I have one. It's a straight pipe. Mike Brissett made some bowls for me many years ago that really turned it into a very nice pipe. I haven't smoked it in a long time, but that's about to change in about 5 minutes. :D

portasio- don't have a kiseru and really haven't given them any thought. But now that you mention it, I may have to give one a try. Not sure if I can load as much perique in it like you seem to enjoy. :shock:

Carlos- I just saw in your profile you have a Ruthenberg....I'm jealous. I'll bet that's a hell of a good smoker.

That was me Carlos. I like that pipe too, but I sure wish it was just a tad shorter. Standard pipe cleaners are just a bit too short to work at their best. Moretti gave us a good deal back then with the discount on any of his pipes. I picked up a few others and still smoke them all the time...

10 yr. old tin of Kong Frederik IX's Full in a basket pipe I picked up at JJ Fox of St. James while visiting London. The VA's in this full English blend have mellowed considerably. My first latakia this week and I'm enjoying it!

Bengal stopped being made right after I started smoking, but I did get one tin while it was on the shelves. I really enjoyed it a lot. By the time I knew I liked it though, it was gone. That was the first feeding frenzy I witnessed on a discontinued blend. Read a lot about people buying it...
