Really enjoy Tsuge First Days of Spring.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one to think so. I also think the fit and finish is better by far than a Zippo. But chacoun á son gôut. I wish my Rolla lite or Thorens performed as well.

No argument on length of burning time. For length of in your pocket time, I prefer the Commander. For length of time between the wick replacements, I prefer the cCommander. Love matches, but the penny boxes have become incredibly difficult t o find around these parts.

Interesting experiment. I have carried a commander since 1995 and have been given a few zippo pipe lighters. There's no comparison for me: the Nimrod wins hands down.

One of my favorite pipes is an eighth bent brandy with an hexagonal shank by this maker.  I love it beyond measure but can find very little of the makers work and only the briefest of biographies.  Are there any experts that can satisfy my curiousity?

This is a simply fantastic tobacco. Not a big fan of McClelland as a rule, but this is a definite exception.

Whatever I can get my hands on. Prefer Dills, but its not always that easy.

The wife's from Tokyo, so I've spent some time in your neck of the woods. Loved the momoyama, but sure hated Ginza prices. Hope you have it shipped from home!

And boy was it good. Working downtown, most of my smokes are either light Virginia's or aromatic to lessen public outcry. They're also usually in group one sized pipes. A big bowl of stink in a giant pot sure was nice!

Virginia's for choice. Latakia is an occasional. Drugstore when pushed. Mostly billiards. Boring as heck, eh? Appreciate the art of the carver, and look forward to sharing what I know and learning what I don't.
