Good job! I, or should I say my dad and I, made cars for 4 years in the 60s when I was in Scouts. It was a a blast. I think I still have the cars in a box somewhere.
It is amazing how much a part of us our pets become. I've bawled like a baby every time I've had to put a pet down. I cried a bit reading the OP. Also, there's a writing called "Rainbow Bridge" about losing our friends and being put back with them some day that I can't make it through without tears.
I don't like an overly shiny finish on anything wood. I just won an eBay pipe which has a shiny finish but has really pretty grain. First thing I'm going to do is un-shine the finish.
I have simple tastes. I just finished a bowl of Captain Black Royal. It was in an unmarked freehand that I won on eBay, got today, cleaned up a little and lit her up. I'm very happy.
I smoked pipes in my 20s. Got on a super-health kick and quit. Now in my 50s I got a wild hair and bought a couple estate pipes, some Captain Black Royal and tried it again. I had forgotten what I was missing. Mainly the quiet relaxation. Something I really need these days.
