I love seeing people’s home brew tobacco recipes. Just tonight I made some Old Growlers and Haunted Forest. I saw both of these in a thread recently.

Old Growlers 1/2 Tombigbee and 1/2 Pilgrims muse.

Haunted Forest. 1/2 or 2/3 Haunted Bookshop and 1/2 or 1/3 Autumn Evening.

Cant wait to make Rangers blend.

I also love reading thru home-brewed recipes.....especially "hybrid" mixtures that are primarily based on using two different, but commercially available, professionally blended/balanced, "named" blends. "Old Growlers" and "Haunted Forest" are two such examples. Easy to mix and easy to enjoy smoking.

That being noted, rather than buying expensive, individual tobaccos and mixing them, experimentally, and hoping for the best, I enjoy adding some "condimental" tobaccos, like Perique, Latakia, Cigar-leaf, etc, to already established, available, mixtures, or even old-school, "codger" blends. It's surprising to find how good some just meh mixtures can become transposed, improved, just by adding an ounce, or two, of creamy, Cigar-Leaf, or maybe some peppery Perique, or piney Latakia. And...it's fun doing and smoking.

I don`t really have any personal blends I have created. Most of the time I will simply incorporate two of three blends together that are almost done and smoke the new combination as is. The results, of course will vary. I have had some unfortunate results and some which were surprisingly good.

Enjoying some Haunted Forest. Beautiful day in Mississippi. 65 but breezy. Will be sampling the old Growler tonight.

Going to have to try this one. I enjoy both tobaccos and well good+good must equal GREAT right?

It was very good. I am no master taster. No Jim. But very good. It had the feel of a good spice cake with coffee. Trying the old growler tonight.

The Old Growler was more subtle of strength but excellent in taste.

I have made a batch of Hobbit Weed following the much published blend.

Letting it sit for a month. Smell awesome at day 15.
