    A disaster!

I'd say just contact Paolo. He's a great guy and would know best about repairing one of his own pipes.

    Asking for help

Yuriy, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Guys, this is a truly great cause for a brother in need. I will be helping out and I ask as many as possible to do the same. Yuriy has always been a gentleman and I know myself and many others here have gotten hours of pleasure from his wonderful...

    Cooked Pipes

All I needed to do was look at the stem to see how great the pipe maker is. The contrast between twisted, abused wood and that beautifully perfect stem is really interesting. I feel the same way about the second pipe with gold fittings. Germany, from my knowledge, has been turning out more...

    Rainer Barbi R.I.P

Hello brothers, I had heard a rumor earlier today that Rainer Barbi passed away. I visited his website and found this confirmation of the sad news: http://www.barbi-pipes.com/

    My new pipe Yakslon ...

I can't recommend Yuriy's pipes enough. I currently own 4 with my fifth on the way. Not only are they beautiful, they are also light and smoke incredibly well. I'd buy one now if your in the market. I have a feeling his prices will be going up after his Chicago debut.

    Jan Pietenpauw retired!?!

So I remembered people raving about Mr.Pietenpauw's pipes a while ago and decided I'd check out his site again. At one point I'd sent an email asking to be put in line for a pipe, but never got a response. As of 2 days ago, it appears Mr.Pietenpauw is no longer making pipes! Does anyone know why?

Beverages That Work Well With the Pipe?

Coffee and tea for me; with the occasional splash of a nice, aged port.

    Favorite American Pipe Maker...

We are truly blessed to have so many great carvers in the US. I was talking with Brian McNulty of Anima pipes about the resourcefulness of American carvers. Since we don't have Heath trees growing in our backyards like the Europeans, our carvers don't always get the best pieces of briar. This...

    Going to China, need advice:)

Wow! Talk about blast from the past:) I was in China waaay back in July. Without even trying, I ran across three different pipe shops in Beijing. Not much in the way of tobacco, but they all carried Savinellis and Petersons. I was also able to smoke my pipe at every restaurant and hotel...

    West Coast Pipe Show

Congrats to Steve, Marty and Rick for putting on such a great show. It was my first show and met a lot of great people. Unfortunately I didn't know the brothers were meeting up and didn't get a chance to say "hi" to anyone. What impressed me the most about the show was seeing, face to face...

    WO Larsen Copenhagen pipe

I have 8 Larsen Copenhagen pipes and they all smoke beautifully; not a bad one in the bunch! I'm glad you're enjoying it!

    Sad Time for Piet

Hey Piet, I just saw this and wanted to say how sorry I am to hear about Laker. I am also an artist and my two dogs keep me company when deadlines start stressing me out. They always know when something is wrong and only ask for a couple of meals and a belly rub or two. What a world it would...

    wo Larsen "Copenhagen" pipe

I'm not quite sure what the dates of the so called "Copenhagen Era" are, but the pipes from this period carry a "Copenhagen" stamp. Some of the best carvers in the business worked at the WO Larsen shop during this time and it's a reasonably affordable way to get pipes carved by Teddy Knudsen...

castello sea rock pipes- estate or new?

I've had the complete opposite experience than Zeno. I have two 1950s Dunhills and they won't stay lit and when they do, smoke very hot and wet. My Castellos on the other hand, basically smoke themselves and stay dry and cool. It just goes to show that different pipes give different results...

    Tinsky "Pipe Brothers"

Congrats on the new Tinskys! Mark ALWAYS delivers! It's really cool to see a pair of pipes that are similar, yet different. BTW I just got my 5th Tinsky in the mail today and couldn't be happier.

Sending money to Russia for a pipe?

No, it's not Yakslon (although I need to pick up one of his beauties!) It's a new member Sergey Cherepanov. Here's the pipe I'm (trying) to buy: It's a beauty, but it ain't easy making this transaction.

Trust me, I would LOVE to use Paypal, but you can't send money to Russia!
