    Blogging.....

Blogging can be a beautiful thing... It's always great to have access to "self expression" that isn't tailored to the persuasion of readers. Good first post. Keep it up! Also, good piping! Tim (the new guy) Madigan

    Greetings from Germany

Would just like to throw in mine own willkommen. My German is almost as bad as my Polish, so I concur: Thanks for the Lingua Franca of the day! So are those (relatively) high tobacco prices due to taxation, or are we just talking about some quality stuff? Once again, welcome to the forum! Tim

What to do with old (not aged, that is) tobacco...

So, because of the small quantities involved I used the ZipLock method... I do, however, like the idea of a shelf full of mason jars filled with my favorite tobaccos. Thanks everyone Tim

What to do with old (not aged, that is) tobacco...

So, what I think you're all saying, is mason jars... Correct me if I'm wrong. That sounds pretty solid. But where to store them in my apartment? Same place as the potatoes I guess... Thanks for the input guys! Tim

What to do with old (not aged, that is) tobacco...

Usually I buy a bag of baccy from my local shop (love to support those guys) and they have some terrific blends. Those bags usually don't last all that long :) . But once in awhile I splurge and buy a tin of some finer (I guess), imported stuff; or more likely it is gifted to me... Point is, I...

    Brand New Cracked Mario Grandi?

Yeah, this was a brand new Grandi. I know that he does so many great shapes and styles of pipes, but if he can arrange an exchange for me, I'd hate to lose such an awesome piece of briar. Hope for the best. Thanks for the reassurance. This was sort of the capstone on a week from hell! This...

    Brand New Cracked Mario Grandi?

Hey brothers, I just received a new Mario Grandi for my 30th, and I just love it. It's has a big bowl, a beautiful grain, and wonderful rustication on the bottom... One problem: I think it might be cracked. Not on the inside, but on the exterior. A very shallow hairline fracture running about...

    Hello from Illinois

Yeah, Jon's is fantastic, and probably 80% responsible for getting me started. They have done a great job of igniting and supporting a student revival of pipe smoking. I'll miss 'em when I leave.

    Hello from Illinois

I'm originally from Chicago, but I am at U of I in Champaign for at least another year. I'm studying English with an eye towards something in education. Thanks for the grand welcome. Tim

    Hello from Illinois

Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum and pretty new to pipe smoking. I had been dabbling for a few years, but it was when my lovely girlfriend purchased a tin of peterson's Old Dublin that I found that I really enjoyed a wide range of tobaccos. I got into the habit of smoking 2 or so pipes a day...
