DE shaving is quite rewarding I think. It does take time and you do have to "re-learn" how to shave. I have been wanting to try the T&H soap as well. I just have too many soaps as it is. . . I think I have 10 or 11 different soaps right now. . .

Right now I'm using a Schick Krona. Great, mild shaver that I get great results with no matter what blade I'm using! Paid all of $7 shipped on ebay for it!

I vote electric as well. . . I'm a DE guy. Used to be an electric man and then I discovered the "old" way of doing things with a brush, shave soap, and an old Gillette safety razor! :D
