    Scored some Penz

I also just purchased a tin of Penz to see what all the fuss was about. And after three bowls in a Cob,and trying a few different packing methods I also can say (to me) it was not worth the hype that surrounds it. I thought it was a very mild, light tasting English blend. The other English blends...

    Wet Pipe Question

I have a Viking that smokes wet, I'm thinking it's the pipe because this is the only one that gets this wet. And I can hear it gurgling. Is there something I could do to help this situation, besides try and keep the siliva to a minimum ?.

    Boswell's Northwoods

I also have tried both Country Side and North Woods from Boswells. To my noob taste they seem to be light english blends. I like them better than their Aeros. Also,I just ordered my first tin of the much touted Penzance, and am looking forward to burning some.

    Cob newby question

I'm with you COBFATHER. I have one MM cob that I have been using for the samples of English Tobacs that Doc Manhattan has generously given me to try out. And I must say I really like smoking it, it's light and holding it in my mouth is comfortable, and it smokes great. I am going to order some...

Boswell sells some very nice English mixtures as well as aromatics, so don't be afraid to get some. Don't know if he still sells Crown English blend that I used to buy from him, it's superb. And WATCH OUT for that Doc Manhattan guy, before you realize it he'll be sharing some single malt with...

I just started to get into the pipe culture the last couple of months, making the switch from Cigars. I am a total noob to pipe Tobaccos and didn't know where to start. I ordered a couple of English blends like Balkin Sasini and Presb. from some of the recomends here. I really didn't like either...
