    Nice Brigham Lovat

Thanks guys.....I think the yellow dot may be to show the right way up of the stem but it seems a little TOO obvious. Hey henwrench......I see you're in Penzance.....what's the baccy shop near you like.....we get over that way every now and again but I have yet to visit it.....what do they...

    Two Brighams and two Zippos.

Cheers Guys....The Cup O' Joes is a real nice Zippo....I recommend it.....everyone should have a pipe smokin yeti on their Zippo. The other Zippo is the new a.s.p lighter.....double sided, engraved and colour filled.....looks great in my glass display dome.

    Two Brighams and two Zippos.

I got a parcel from the States Today.......Two Rustic Brighams and two cracking Zippos...Both the Brighams have the older Pat No. 372982 and the horizontal cursive Brigham logo. The 3 dot barely had a bowl left there was so much cake in there....a ream and a good polish and now it smokes like a...

    Brigham 5 Dot Apple Sportsman

Turns out it's a sweet smoker....and you're right ...it's definitely got character. The idea with the finish or lack of it is that the Sportsman series were made for the Ontario Sportsman Show back in the day....They were left unfinished with minimal carving so as to be used for outdoor...

    Brigham 5 Dot Apple Sportsman

    Hi Guys.

Thanks for the welcome....I do OK with morels here hidden among the sandy soil around the dunes but nothing on the scale of whatt you guys have....very envious. Our morel season will start in the next three weeks or so (spring) and is very short lived but I have a dozen or so good places up my...

    Cleaned up Big Ben nosewarmer.

I got this pipo this morning....it was a rustic black finish....in very bad condition, so I buffed and buffed, added a little tung oil and now she looks sweet....very happy with an hours work.

    Kitchen knives and cookware

I don't think they make Olive handled Opinel mushroom knives for the UK market.....I have seen them in a No.8....very nice too. They use carbon steel in the standard knives but only stainless in the mushroom knives.....a shame really as the Opinel carbon steel is great stuff.

What are/will be the "classics" of the future?

I never actually asked what to spend my cash on ....just looking for other perspectives....I can't be the only pipe smoker in my thirties wondering about the older generations knowledgeable take on this ......Can I ????

What are/will be the "classics" of the future?

I suppose I got thinking about this as I have a few new and a few estate Brighams....the older ones from the 50's, 60's and 70's seem to be much better made. I also acquired a "new" Ben Wade....it smokes fine but, looks great but the drilling out, draw hole and tenon fit are a bit...
