    For all of us cheapskates: I bought one of Tinksky's kits and had a friend shape it. He doesn't know a thing about pipes. I stained it with red/black shoe dye. Now I know it isn't a collector grade, I'm under no illusions, but for $23 I have a great smoking pipe.

    Microwave Experiment

    I guess this should go without saying, but "Don't put your tobacco on a paper towel and microwave it to dry it out quicker." It took all the flavor out of some McCranie's Red Flake. On the plus side, the kitchen smelled wonderful!

    Meerschaum Lined Pipes

    I see smokingpipes has a few of these. Anyone have any opinions on this system? Durability? I do have an old Hayim Pinhas but it's pretty big and clunky. So it doesn't get smoked much. Great for English blends though.

    Pretty funny online magazine. Lots of pipe smoking, tweed wearing people with extravagant moustaches. It may be parody, but sometimes I feel Chap while I'm smoking.

    Returnee

    Been gone so long I forgot my old username. Oh well, new broom sweeps clean. (Not that I disgraced myself much) I just opened a jar of Old Gowrie that I cellared 5 years ago. The room note is pitch perfect, almost like baking bread. I have one higher end pipe, but mostly smoke my old Petersons...
