Well another surgery today. They put in a main line access to make dialysis easier for her as they still are not happy with how her A/V fistula has developed over the last 4 or 5 years. She has lots of little veins in her arms because of all the IV lines and blood draws etc etc. The renal Dr wants them tied off so the fistula will develop the Vein Dr keeps telling them if they tie them off she WILL lose that arm. So temporary access to let it develop more. The good news is she has improved enough that they no longer think she needs inpatient rehab! So she could be coming home by the weekend if we are lucky. She will still need outpatient rehab but the hospital here can do that. Again she has beaten the odds. I thank you all for that as I know it’s because so many people are supporting her with prayers and good wishes. You guys are amazing and I thank you! Jim
