So since march or whenever I was here last alot of things happened. I got a new job at a KIA dealership as a tech, got flooded with 2 ft of water on the lawn about an inch from coming in the house and it destroyed a good bit of the lawn and took quite a few things down through the woods and some I would imagine to another part of the river. I am still working a second job, my wife just got a part time job.

so now I am working 2 jobs and when I am home I am trying to straighten out the disaster. I did manage to find almost all of my hand tools that was in the shed (which got washed away) my chainsaw which amazing enough still works after being underwater, after a thorough cleaning of course. I am getting ready to talk to the landlady and ask her if instead of getting dayworkers( aka illegals) if she would let me fix the lawn and just knock money off the rent.

Glad to hear things are looking up,,jobwise

As far as the water damage, as long as nobody got hurt you're golden,,,time for a bowl and a brew,,

Holly crap that's a lot of water, glad it didn't get in the house...that would have been a disaster.

It was about an inch from getting in. we evacuated before it came over and went to my inlaws house. when I went to work that night the picture is how deep it was. when I came home I swung by the neighborhood and it looked deeper so I went into panic because of the irreplaceable things , like my sons photo albums that my wife does every year, items that she and I inherited and so on. When I got to my inlaws, I was very upset and got loud, my wife yelled at me and her parents yelled at her saying I have the right to be upset. The next day I tried going to my dealership job and they was closed due to flooding, I couldn't even get near the area the roads was flooded so bad. So on the way back to the in laws I stopped by the house and much to my relief the inside was dry.

here are some more pictures of the neighborhood ,some of the job and a video.
