Very Unfortunate.

However, eBay is what eBay has always been, a buyer beware market.

Yes, yes it is and perhaps its time for a reminder with all the McClelland activity on ebay.

Yup with close to 4000 listings for McClelland tins I expect there will be an unfortunate number of scammers. I also expect the sudden jump in listings to draw eBay's attention with a subsequent crackdown on tobacco tin sales. After all they only allow sales of collectable tins if they contain tobacco they are supposedly "not for consumption"

Sigh, sorry if you got taken for a ride brother. I personally won't be buying anything from eBay until the frenzy of McC profiteers dies down.

After seeing this thread, I just had to go to eBay to check out the McCs listings! Whew...everybody and their dog is selling McC blended tobacco!!! First observation, hardly any one of them lists the "this collectible tin is not for consumption" or words to that affect. Second observation, my McClelland-blended collection is worth a frappin' fortune at these prices :p :p  FTRPLT
