Late last night younger daughter sends me a text. "Got a problem, Dad. I just realized that tomorrow, there's no school or daycare. It's an in-service day. Are you able to watch the kids?" The two year old goes to daycare also run by the school system. Fortunately, my older daughter was available to help me. I am totally gassed. The kids were great. The 6.5 year old and the 5 year old usually fight constantly; not today. My Covid booster exhaustion hit me about noon and without help, I'd have been up shitz creek, no paddle. The older daughter won't watch the kids alone and today it would have been impossible, even if she would have. She and her husband are currently getting by with one car and he took it to work. The daughters live in two different suburbs.
