Heart Shot!

Saturday I went 40 feet up the same tree I hunted last time ( when the derpy cow ruined the hunt).
Herd of 10+ deer come through. Nailed a nice 150 lb doe in the heart from 20 yards. Shortest deer trail ever from an arrow at 30 feet. It barely made it to the ridge of the draw.

Awesome marc. I have never shot one heaps over here but googled why the feck don't deer hunters go for head shots. Got a great many reasons why , I get it

When I hunted in Iowa the deer were huge, usually 200+ on the hoof. We could only use shotgun, black powder, or bow. Hard to make a good head shot beyond 30 yards. A good heart shot would usually bring them down within 10 yards.
