My wife is, right now, on a great road trip with our two adult children (from Portland, Oregon) to Yellowstone National Park. It’s to be a week long event. Overall it’ll be over 1,700 miles. They’re “glamping” in a 3 bedroom condo just outside the Park’s West entrance and do day trips from there. So far it’s been a dream vacation from hiking through a huge (sudden from out of nowhere) snow storm plus Bison at Craters of the Moon Park to yesterday seeing just about every wild animal species possible in one jaunt. Seriously…how’s this…they saw herd after herd of Bison…plus a number of Pronghorn, Wolves in different locations, a Grizzly Bear, a number of Elk, a Black Bear, various squirrels and chipmunks. Hmmm. No cats. No varmints. But add to that a great list of geological wonders, springs, geysers and mineral pools and you have a pretty cool time. I sent my good 10 X 42 Leupold roof prism hunting binoculars with them. Glad I did.
