Good morning, I've been trying to avoid burning the rim of my new Savinelli 320, so looking at lighting techniques. I'm favoring matches at this point, but wondering about plasma lighters for this. Has anyone tried one for lighting their pipe?

Swede, I use cheapie Scripto lighters from Walmart. 6 in a pack for $4. Soft flame and adjustable. Works good for me and haven't scorched a pipe yet.

That's good to know. Looked like it would be hard to get it to the tobacco to get lit. Partly for kicks, I've ordered some made in Poland (Raw brand) beeswax coated hemp wick from an ebay seller at $4 per 10 feet. I figure that'll go about what 200 matches will. One BoB, Tombstone. recommends these, so worth a try I figure. BTW, I worked in NOLA almost a couple of years, and really liked getting out of the city to Grand Isle and points in between, especially like the eating out there.
