OK, some things you just need to leave alone! I just cannot imagine this movie being improved upon... the cast for The Magnificent Seven was one of those near perfect casts, it would be really hard to find a cast like that nowadays. And as for me, Tom Cruise in the lead is already a strike one...

May it NEVER happen.

:| We'll see. Remakes are the bane of my film-watching existence, but once in a rare, rare while, it pans out.

I doubt it, though.

Don't forget the original

Can we make it a comedy and have Cruise reprise his "Les Grossman" role from Tropic Thunder?

The Magnificent Seven was a great movie...no need for a remake.

Did any of you see the short lived TV show based on it?

There was an anime as well, "Samurai 7." I loved the Seven Samurai movie, and the anime was just as fun. Then again, I'm a nerd.

It could work if they fit the cast to the script and not the other way around. It's a really good story as it is. If they adapt the script to fit the actors it'll just end up something like Young Guns.
