I remember watching him at bat on a 6 inch TV set that we had on "approval"
Needless to say the TV was gone in 2 weeks.
 
I just read an article that stated that another forgotten loss from the strike season was that was the season Tony felt healthy and in his own opinion the most locked in in his career. So in perspective, we may have lost what would have become one of the greatest offensive campaigns of my lifetime. Some were rumoring he had a shot at .400. He ended at .394 when the strike happened.
