Yeah, we revisit this topic every now and again! It's always fun though. My 160+ pipes are a conglomeration accumulated over 51 years of puffing. I don't have any "dedicated" pipes per se. I do have a few ROTs (Rules of Thumb!). Aros (smoked rarely) go into cobs, maples, cherrywoods, etc.; never into briar or Meer. I only smoke Latweed/s in my Dunnies, Sasienis, Ashtons, Ferndowns, GBDs, Barlings, BBBs, & Meers plus all the "artisan" briars. Burley, straight Ginnyweed, & Va/Pers are reserved for a large group of pipes (some "Firsts", some "Seconds") that just smoke these blends well. I will smoke Ginnyweed, but not Burley, in a "Latweed' pipe. Generally, I try to keep it simple...Pick up pipe, put in tobacco, lite tobacco, smoke!!! This hobby is supposed to be relaxing; not a chore!!!!!! FTRPLT
