Paul Revere & The Raiders Greatest Hits. Laugh if you want, but this band was my favourite in the mid-60's when everything was pop-rock. Even more so than the Fab Four, which didn't come into play with me in a more serious way for a few years later. So I can say that Paul Revere and the Raiders dominated my early development when I was coming up as a bass guy in my guitar development. Their tunes were well constructed - great hooks, memorable melodies, and the vocals were spot on - and this was way back before autotune was even thought of! Mark Lindsay remains one of the best pop vocalists IMHO. Anyway, enjoying this CD. And I do also have their original LPs, but these are sadly fraught with many skips and scratches from my days when I was doing "needle drops" to learn the parts. Cheers, RR
