    Teipen Pipes Ryukin

Just received word from Wayne Teipen of http://www.teipenpipes.com that my pipe is finished! It's a Ryukin, and I'm just a little (a lot) excited. Here are a few photos he sent of the finished work.  He hit it out of the park.

    What are you smoking?

Elizabethan Mixture in a Peterson Harp 80s. This pipe came straight from Glen in the shop in Dublin. It was my first new pipe to boot, which makes it kind of special in my book.

Thanks guys, I'll try a post over there. I've looked everywhere online to no avail.

Peterson pipes with wood inlay around the logo?

Is anyone familiar with circular wood inlays around the Peterson logo on their stems? I recently came across a couple of them, and I haven't seen anything like it before. The bottom two pipes in the center:

Castello - Varians in drilling, but mostly awesome

I've smoked quite a few pipes since I started last June, so much so that I started restoring and selling them just to fuel the need to try a wide variety in order to find my sweet spot. I have maybe 10 pipes on the rack now, two of which are from Castello. I've smoked maybe 10 or so from...

    What are you smoking?

Smoking some Dunhill Flake rubbed out in a Castello Trademark 3k blasted billiard.  This pipe is a sitter which makes it perfect to smoke while working, although it's a little large to balance easily in the clencher.  The only Castello I've had since it was brand new, so it has a special place.

    Capstan Blue Flake

Love Capstan Blue! It's the perfect reading smoke. I've had more success with it rubbed out rather than flake form, but it could have had to do with drying time.

    What's your 9 to 5??

Front-end web developer, we do a lot of work with WordPress (clients request it for the ease-of-use after we hand over the keys). Lots of fun. The downside of living on a small island is the talent pool is rather ... small. Makes it hard to hire good coders.

    Aloha from Hawaii

Hi everyone, Aloha from the 50th state. I picked up pipes in June after several years of cigars and haven't looked back. My favorite pipe is a Castello Sea Rock bent billiard, and Dunbar or Haunted Bookshop fill the bowl most days. I'm a web designer by trade, and my only gripe is there is...
