    Enough with the winter.

Embrace the cold. Get some proper winter gear and go adventuring around your nearest state/national park. Bring a pipe and some beef jerky. I love the winter.

    A New Love: Esoterica Kingsbridge

Good morning Bob, The only tobacco mixtures I've previously purchased in large quantities without previously trying them have been full English mixtures I was confident I would like. After the shop got in a bunch of the cocaine-free Esoterica mixtures (no Stonehaven or Penzance), I revisited...

    first flight with Squadron Leader

I know Squadron Leader has a special place in the heart of many pipe smokers, but I don't find it to be anything special or that there's anything about the blend to hold my interest. It is a remarkably average English blend in my opinion. I think Commonwealth has a bit more going for it, but...

Buying my first "nice" pipe...need advice!

For new pipes, the best you will get in that range are the higher end Stanwell, Savinelli, Bringham, Peterson's, Luciano, Nording, etc. All excellent choices and mostly dependent on your aesthetic preferences.

    "Tactical" pipe case

I'm waiting for my associate Bill Shalosky to make a pipe with a wooden picatinny rail/peg system on the top of the shank on which you could mount a wooden match box or tampers or something. Another cool thing would be to have a compact leather pipe bag/tobacco pouch with a rail mount to put on...

    Hello from Columbus, OH

Bill made that one for the Chicago pipe show a couple years ago, although that image is poorly lit. Here are photos from our website:

so.. What made you wanna smoke a pipe?

I have a small nose, so I feel like the pipe provides a good substitute for which to look down upon the unwashed masses.

    New purchases

I purchased a Marlin 336C last week without realizing the circumstances of the "Remlin" debacle (Marlin was purchased by Remington, production was moved and quality plummeted). I looked at in the shop and just figured that the sub-par fit of the stock was just typical for a "workhorse" type...

    Hello from Columbus, OH

Hello, My name is Benjamin and I work as a tobacconist at Smokers' Haven in Columbus, OH. I am passionate about all premium forms of tobacco enjoyment (pipes, cigars, cigarettes, and snuff in particular), but my favorite are certainly pipes. I've been working at Smokers' Haven for a few years...
