    Odds and ends...

Good thinking and good price on those. I have seen some made with 30-06 Springfield and 450 Bushmaster. Being in the right place at the right time works out sell on occasion.

    White Oak Burl

White Oak is a waterproof oak. It is used for whisky barrels. That said I know there is a smell associated with the oaks, sour it is. If you cover the end grain with paint that will slow down the drying process and it may prevent cracking during the slow drying process. Some lumber will...

"anything made by Smith & Wesson." he says..................

Blackhorse; the Hillary Hole is the opening for the key to unlock or lock the internal lock on S&W revolvers. I don't happen to care for them. Failures or malfunctions are NOT common. Guns don't kill people, PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE. Forks and spoons are not responsilbe for overweight people.

Mac Baren TAD - It’s ARO time!

Scottish Mixture is probably my favorite of the Mac Baren blends. It has been a staple for twenty to thirty years. It purchase it in bulk and seal it in jars to age. It is good when it is new and much better with a little time on it. Enjoy!

    Hello from Germany

Welcome to the forum.  I hope you enjoy the pipe, never have been to Europe but I do enjoy smoking a pipe outdoors, not so much walking but being outdoors.  There are other forums and all have something to offer. I like the name.                                                                ...

When you work outside in the summer...

Worked in Michigan doing forestry work.  In the summers we would wear a pair of coveralls over our jeans and wore a canvas vest to carry our tools and paint.  the coveralls would keep the paint off of our clothes.  We also wore cotton gloves and a hat.  It was hot and we had to consume a large...

    What are you smoking?

The temperature is 24 degrees and I attacked the snowy driveway with the Armstrong Snow Shovel. I enjoyed some McClelland 2045, Oriental Mixture in a vintage MM Diplomat. The driveway is clean and the pipe is done. A new snow blower might be in order for the next winter. The blend was good...
