    What Are You Smoking Pages.

Been awhile since I visited the site, but I stumbled upon the link when looking through my bookmarks. While I don't smoke my pipes nearly as often as I once did (back in the Stokers Haven days), today's walk this morning out at the park included a very enjoyable smoke in the meerschaum poker...

    What are you smoking?

C&D Longevity in a CAO latticed meerschaum.  Got the pipe in a Stokers Haven boxpass in 2003 or 2004. The tobacco is a tin from when C&D first introduced the blend. That tropical storm is headed this general direction, so it’s as humid as the inside of a sweat lodge and no air movement. That...

    Advice for the new Piper

Regarding packing the pipe well and smoking slowly, take the time to learn it and practice it. Slow smoking helped me to learn to identify and appreciate the components of a blend. It is worth the effort.

    How was your weather today?

Lovely Wife and I went to DC last evening for a concert. Got up early this morning and drove home via Skyline Drive through Shenandoah National Park. Some leaves have started to change, but not many. 55-60F, clear, and sunny. Perfect for a relaxing drive.

    Advice for the new Piper

^^^THIS!!! Hufflepuff nailed it as far as I'm concerned. We could each give you our answers, but these are subjective questions that only have personal answers. My advice is to explore as you are able and find what works for you. That goes for tobaccos, shapes, materials...
