Good morning from South Carolina! I am new to pipe smoking and began with a Missouri Meerschaum Cob. So far I have tried a few different types of tobacco including Borkum Riff Bourbon Whiskey, Lane 1-Q, Cornell & Diehl Autumn Evening, and Sir Walter Aromatic. I'm here to get tips and increase my knowledge of pipe tobaccos and pipes.

Welcome from Arizona high country. What part of SC? As a kid and teenager I spent part of my summers in Beaufort where my uncle was production manager at the coca cola bottling plant. Went crabbing on Hilton Head island when it was just a tomato plantation, lol.

Hi there.
How did you find the Autumn Evening? I'm looking at that one myself.

Welcome to BoB Stacy, a good idea if you've got a tobacconist you can get to is to try different small amounts of tobacco types and blends.

Smoke more than a bowl of each and find what you like. Once you know where you like to go with your smokes, have a chat to the tobacconist to see what other tobaccos might float your boat.

We're all happy to pipe in with advice if you've not got a tobacconist available (or even if you do).

tobaccoreviews.com has plenty of good insight too, though it can be overwhelming for someone coming to it new.
