    First Non-Aromatic Suggestion

You not kidding! First whiff of the stuff reminded me of my first sip of Laphroaig! I have to say it was a bit too intense for the mood I was in. Nothing necessarily unpleasant, just a bit much. I'm going to slowly go through some different varieties and see where my taste lands me. I also...

No Bite Delite. I REALLY like it, but why???

I ordered several different Boswell blends. If I remember right they were: Christmas Cookie, No Bite, Berry Cobler, Pipers Pleasure, and Bear Blend. No Bite Delight is the one I will definately be ordering more of. I can't exactly explain why, but its not as "perfumy" tasting as many other...

    Best Pipe Repair / Refurb?

I may try that and see if it does anything to tighten things up. If so, maybe I'll try fixing up the rest of it. Otherwise I may just commission the whole job. Thanks.

    First Non-Aromatic Suggestion

Order in. A couple oz. of Squadron Leader, a tin of Frog on the Town, and Dunhill Early Morning should get me started. Now I gotta wait.

    Best Pipe Repair / Refurb?

Thanks for the reply. What do you mean when you say "a little water" in regards to the loose stem? I am guessing that water won't affect the vulcanite. I can't imagine wetting the wood, so I'm at a loss. The rest of your suggestions make sense, I'm just hesitant to do it with a pipe I care...

    First Non-Aromatic Suggestion

Thanks for all the suggestions. I looked at the 4noggins site, but 8oz is a bit much to purchase if I end up not caring for it. I've been looking into all of these and many sound appealing. I'm working on assembling a wish list. I can see the potential expense in finding a favorite. Luckily...

    Best Pipe Repair / Refurb?

I have a few pipe's I inherited from my grandfather. I was thinking about having one in particular refurbished since the stem is a bit loose. I don't want it to loose any of the original markings. Does anyone have any experiences they would care to share about specific services they have had...

    First Non-Aromatic Suggestion

It seems like squadron leader is sold out everywhere online. That was one I was tentatively leaning towards. Seems like most of the S. Gawith stuff is hard to come by. Any suggestions for something a little more readily available?

    First Non-Aromatic Suggestion

I suppose everything I have ever smoked (from a pipe) was aromatic. I am looking to expand my horizons. What would be your suggestion for a first non aro?

    What are you smoking?

Just tried Boswells "Berry Cobbler" in my new Savinelli Trevi. I must say the new pipe smokes great.

    Favorite Book?

I have read many, many fantastic books, but the only one I have ever thought of immediately re-reading was the Count of Monte Cristo. Sweet, sweet revenge!

    Louis LaMour

I'm pretty sure I read every one of his books by the time I was 19. Sadly I haven't read one in many, many years. It may just be time to revisit the Sacketts.

Greetings from the San Francisco Bay Area

Thanks for the warm welcome. I started smoking a pipe when I inherited a few from my grandfather (almost 20 years ago now  ). I've smoked off and on since then, but am giving a little more effort this time to become proficient. My skills are still weak, but improving with each bowl...
