    Some interesting Charatan info

While we're tracking down great Charatan tidbits on the internet, does anyone have any leads on where to find Tad Gage's authoritative 2003 article on the subject? While Ivy Ryan's is everywhere, Gage's seems to have disappeared.

    New Old Peterson 999, unsmoked

    Beautiful! Thanks for the tip.

    New Old Peterson 999, unsmoked

Oh, I hadn't seen the P-lip. Yes, then by all means cast it into the fiery furnace of Hell. BTW, I have a Peterson Baskerville that I'd smoke non-stop if it weren't for the danged P-lip -- what's you're recommendation for where to go to get it fishtailized?

    Who Has to Smoke Outside?

    How much do you smoke?

Three to five bowls a day -- I smoke whenever driving and I now work from home, allowing me to smoke at will.

    Tobacco shops in Denver

There are four places in Denver that have anything beyond a perfunctory pipe selection. Edward's is far and away the best in terms of pipe and tin selection, not to mention an expert staff, most notably (as far as pipes go) Tom. The back smoking room is so turn-of-the-century...

    A Halloo from Colorado

I'm new to the forum, too, and also from Colorado -- Denver, specifically. Perhaps I'll see you around at Edward's.

    Denver, Colorado

Hello gents, I'm from Denver, with few sojourns elsewhere. I smoked my first pipe in 1999, did that on and off as a lark. I quit smoking cigarettes and drinking in 2004 and needed something to obsess over, so I went whole hog into pipes. Luckily, I moved a few blocks away from Iwan Ries in...
