so.. What made you wanna smoke a pipe?

Lord of the rings. I love blowing smoke rings and dont want to be a nicotine addict. Pipe smoking gives me the chance to evaluate my home grown backy for quality while doing less dammage to my health. It is also relaxing and it gives me ANOTHER hobby where i can have a go at making...

    Experiences with Clay Pipes

Hey Jeep - i just got my first every pipe today, and it is very similar to that there - a clay churchwarden just a bit shorter than yours i think. Where is the vent place on your bowl - mine is in the side wall at the bottom - smokes ok but not brilliantly (could also describe me I suppose!)

    Anyone drink brandy while piping?

Mostly tried local artisan ones - prenzels here in NZ do a nice one. Mostly to compare to my own - legal to home distill in NZ for personal consumption. Look for something batch distilled - it will have propper cuts made on the distillation and then blended for taste. It will have less heads -...

Further down the cigar leaf pipe tobacco rabbit hole.

Fair enough - thought it was to obvious for someone else not to have done it!

Further down the cigar leaf pipe tobacco rabbit hole.

any reason you couldn't just cut a cigar in 4-5 bits and smoke it in you pipe - should be easy to find one the right diameter - check the ring size ;)

    Sauerkraut

If your keen on making your own get a copy of "The art of Fermentation" by Sandor Ellix Katz. It's fascinating and rather brilliant. Fermented foods are meant to be brilliant for health (particularly that of the lungs!) and taste great - I figure they help cut the damage that the baccy will do...

Ok, school me (the rev's challenge)
