Am undergoing a bit of a metamorphosis, changing tastes?!
Tried today at 'FireHouse' [smoke shop] a bowl of McClelland's 'Dark English'. For decades have smoked as a standard CubeCut Burley, kinda' 'meat and potatoes' thing. Have smoked English blends and have found despite the initial heavy nose before lighting that they all inevitably seem to smoke smooth from first fire to the end. The CCBs while I liked them always seemed to be a bit of a bite initially, then velvet smooth at the half way mark.
Am I wrong here?
The 'Dark English' seems to be 'Red Cake Virginia' [ earthy background] with a load of Black Stoved Virginia [for the sweet] with some kind of Macedonian? or oriental Latakia for the full smoke bouquet. It's not very pronounced, but very pleasant and full. Giving the reader here my impression [my language]
Thinking of adding another humidor to the secretary cabinet. Some one want to take this on and educate me a bit here would most appreciate it?!
