Best Pipe For Blend Type

I am sorry if this has been discussed before, but since I am new to piping, I wanted to get everyone's ideas on what blend types go well with which pipe shapes.
I have found that I like Virginias out of pipes that have thick walls for the bowl - ie - Capstan Blue out of a thick walled Dublin.
I have found that aromatics are only tolerable out of a Churchwarden, because they are less prone to biting, due to the long stem.
Any thing you guys have found to be a good match?

Has to do with the tobacco more than the pipe. If your aromatics are biting you it's not the pipe. I could amoke Rivendell in any pipe I own with no problem.
