Thanks man, that's cool. I always love seeing the greats collaborate.
It's very personal & subjective when you get to the upper crust..
Like.. It's clear Bonnie is a better singer than me, but is she a better singer than Susan?  I don't even play those games anymore.

The real cool thing about the Vid I posted was Susan stepping out and grinding on that axe. I've watched them on YouTube since there's been a YouTube.. Back in the early/mid 90's we used to talk about how good Derek was on guitar.  He is almost unarguably the most accomplished slide guitarist in the world... To see him step back and let her play was just cool.  I love how these two love each other...

Watch this and see how she goes from Blues Goddess to school girl in two blinks as soon as he walks onstage @ the 4:50 mark.  They'd been married over a decade at this point.

We saw Susan Tedeschi about 20 years ago, she headlined our very first "Western Maryland Blues Festival". I've seen Derek Trucks play with the Allman Brothers a number of times, but have yet to see Tedeschi/Trucks.

I'm finally crossing off a Holy Grail this summer - Buddy Guy and Jeff Beck are performing in VA at Wolftrap. I've wanted to see Buddy for years, and he's not getting any younger. Paired with Jeff Beck should be fascinating.

Young guys can also play the blues

So I gotta ask...are the blues the words or the music?
This sound like the blues:

But so does this:
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/OpKB6OZ_B4c" frameborder="0" loading="lazy" allowfullscreen ></iframe>

And this too:

It ain't either, and it's both.. Man the blues is just the blues. You can't analyze something like the blues.

The blues is everywhere.. From Snow Tha Product (one of the best spitters alive) to Florida Georgia Line to whatever is on top 40 list in almost any 'genre'. The blues is just the blues. And you really can't label and shelf them.

To me, it's a feeling.  Hank is country, to me.  It's different for everyone.  This is also blues, to me.
