Triptophan kicking in, time for a brandy :clown:

This year was a little different. Instead of a big ol damn bird and all the work and mess that goes with it, we cooked a turkey roast - boned out turkey meat netted in a roll. Seasoned it with a Tuscan herb mixture that I use on all kinds of stuff - garlic, rosemary, sage and coarse sea salt all chopped up really fine and then dried completely. It's amazing stuff. Put that bad boy in a crockpot and it was fantastic. Roasted some fresh yam slices with brown sugar and cinamon sprinkled on, some butternut squash sprinkled with curry powder, sautee'd some green beans with bacon, shallots and slivered almonds and finished it with a bit of butter and brandy. Homemade cranberry orange relish, store bought gravy and rolls. Probably the easiest Thanksgiving dinner I've ever done. Gave the girls prep duties on every dish so they take the credit. It was a big win.

What did you folks do this year?
