O.K. guys and gals: After singing the praises of Capstan Blue and its return to the market I was talked into trying the yellow tin as well and found it quite pleasant if a little bit too light. Then one of the brothers mentioned in a text that if you were to mix the two would you get "Capstan Green". Well I took that to be a challenge and went ahead last night and took one flake of each and rubbed them together. It was a delight. The yellow's sweetness adds a little something to the boldness of the blue and the blue's heavier body tones down the tendency of the yellow to be too light. a real pleasure. Give it a try.

Sounds good!

Now if only I could do something similar with Johnnie Walker....

Mix Black and Red and come up with Blue Label. :lol!:

Mr. E: It would indeed be wonderful to mix Johnny Walker Red and Black resulting in green but I am afraid mixing Red and Black would come up with an undrinkable blend that would be suggestive of an anarchist being crossed with a communist, a nasty combination.
