My mother-in-law is in town and I need some recipes for her. I have Hennessy privilege, sweet and dry vermouths, grand marnier, peychaud bitters, michter's sour mash, paul masson brandy, raspberry tea, lemon, lime, and oranges.

Cognac (a brandy) will go well with apple flavors, orange flavors. I'm not sure I would mix it with anything too tart, but like a cherry flavor might be ok.

Cognac and Grand Marnier is an easy one (equal parts, stirred with ice, then strained into a cocktail glass).

A "Brandy Old Fashioned" is another easy one (Wisconsin something or other it's called)...
- sugar and bitters (add a cherry or orange if you'd like)
- muddle in bottom of glass
- add a couple ice cubes
- add 2oz brandy
