Despite seeing him most often in M*A*S*H, I still think of him more as Officer Gannon or even in his roles in the two 'Support Your Local Sheriff/Gunfighter' films

I loved the episode where he was introduced to the show as a visiting Colonel (although known to be looney) that was there for a Court Marshall and he asked the black guy who was going to give testimony for a musical number ..He said, " Come on boy, you got it in ya" and he started singing and dancing out the door. They all just looked at each other in disbelief and threw their hands up in the air.
