It's my dream for retirement (not so far away now) to visit Ireland. The wife and I would like to go over on a passenger liner rather than fly. Somehow the idea of spending 10-12 hours on a plane just doesn't appeal to us.
I'm having trouble finding information on passage as opposed to say a 10 - 13 day cruise that just visits Ireland.
Anyone have any ideas? :?:

All I could find was transatlantic trips to England (Southampton mostly.) Cunard Line seemed to have the most voyages of that sort, but other lines make the NY-England trek too.

There are ferries to Ireland, but none direct from that coast (which faces France/Isle of Wight), as far as my searching went.

Do a web search on "tramp Steamers". That's the starting point, then explore the options for your departure, embarkation point, debarkation point.
Good luck.
