I watched a movie the other night with Edward G. Robinson and Orson Welles, called "The Stranger", released in 1946. Edward G. Robinson smoked a pipe almost throughout the entire picture, puffing voluminous smoke and enjoying it in what looked to be a straight, smooth Pot, with a very thick bowl (reminded me of my Randy Wylie). In "Double Indemnity" and "The Cincinatti Kid", he exclusively smokes cigars. It got me wondering what his favorite pipes and tobacco were. Anybody know?

Funny, I watched Double Indemnity yesterday. There's a blend called Edward G. Robinson, but I don't know if (or which) was his favorite.

Sure,
He had his own proprietary blend called Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend!!!! It is now being manufactured by Sutliff Tobacco Co. of Richmond, VA. I'm sure you can find reviews on the tobacco review sites. It's a burley blend and personally I enjoy it.
