Erinmore Snuff

One day I had a hankering for some snuff. I haven't had any on hand for some time, so I decided to make some.

I dried an Erinmore flake to bone dry and mashed it into VERY FINE powder with a mortar & pestle.

It was very good. A lot better than some I have purchased over the counter. The distinctive Erimore scent was quite nice as a snuff.

That actually sounds pretty good, Rich. I like Erinmore sometimes. Sort of licorice meets figs or dates for a nip of brandy. You may be onto something.

I meant to point out earlier that both the Gawiths make snuff versions of many of their pipe tobaccos. Never tried any of them, though.

I have tried this too with many other pipe tobaccos and was also pleased with the results, however I will say I tried it once with drum cigarette tobacco and it was seriously strong and burned like hell :!:
