1. Beatles
2. Morphine
3. Stones
4. Zeppellin
5. The Who
6. Steely Dan
7. Leonard Skynyrd

I guess you can tell I love classic rock. Morphine gets in the list for dissonance and the baritone sax. Dissonance done well, not avant garde jazz with its very muddled melody, if there is one.

What are yours?

1. Zeppelin
2. Uriah Heep
3. ZZ Top
4. REO Speedwagon
5. Foghat
6. Skyhooks

1. Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys

2. Bill Monroe and His Bluegrass Boys

3. Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver

4. The Johnson Mountain Boys

5. (Tie) Foggy Mountain Boys (aka Flatt and Scruggs)

5. (Tie) Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder

What an egghead I am for not including Steely Dan in my list. Absolutely fantastic musicians, songs, and Donald Fagan's unforgettably cynical voice, so perfect for the material. Royal Scam and Aja are my favorites, but all of their records are good.

Snow Valley Boys (Absolutely love their version of "Sitt'n On Top Of The World") Got to jam on that tune with them at the Old Time Fiddlers Convention in Galax, VA.
Doc Watson/Merle Watson and the Frosty Morning Band
Roan Mountain Hilltoppers (I've had the privilage of jamming with them at the Old Time Fiddlers Convention, Galax, VA)
Allison Krauss and Union Station
Rick Scaggs and Kentucky Thunder
Carolina Chocolate Drops
Water Deep/100 Portraits Enter the Worship Circle
Allman Brothers
Marshall Tucker Band
Wet Willie

The list goes on and on........................!!!!!!!!!

Edited as memory recalls.
