First carving

A while ago I got a pre-drilled morta block and finally got around to finishing it. Morta is a HARD wood, I started with a razor knife but that was not working so well lol. Finished most of it with a dremel and some sandpaper. Came it pretty OK and not very even. But all in all not bad for a first time. Might try a straight shape next.

Great for a first effort. You might check out Tinsky’s pipe kits. I’ve used them several times and have been impressed with their quality.

Well guess I ended up smoking it to hot on the maiden voyage (that's my assumption at least) and it developed a nice crack lol.

Yep it goes all the way through

Guess I will try again at some point
